Toyota Land Cruiser Recently Sold 1,000 Units In 30 Minutes In Germany

JAKARTA - The latest generation Toyota Land Cruiser was introduced to the global market in early August and opened its bookings for the European market this December. Appearing as a new all-time model, the tough SUV received a good welcome.

The model has proven successful in stealing the attention of the European continent's public by successfully selling 1,000 units of initial allocation within 30 minutes of Germany since the opening of the reservation on December 21.

Reporting from carscoops, Friday, December 22, customers in Germany are interested in seeing this model for the first time at the 20th Bush Taxi Meeting which will be held in September. The reserve itself started at 8 am on December 21 and closed in 30 minutes later because the initial batch had already been booked.

In the country nicknamed Industri Country', this model is available in three versions, namely Executive, Tec, and First Edition. Unfortunately, the company has not disclosed in detail sales on each trim.

However, Toyota said that the First Edition version would be limited to 3,000 units. It was stated that the car would be delivered to Germany starting in the third quarter of 2024.

In Europe, the latest Toyota Land Cruiser carries the GA-F platform developed by manufacturers which is claimed to be 50 percent stiffer than the previous generation. Thus, the car is powered by a 2.8 liter turbodiesel engine measuring 201 dk combined with eight automatic acceleration transmissions and a 48V battery.

All German models are equipped with some standard equipment, but for Tec and First Edition benefit from some additional features, including Toyota's new front decoupling bar, 20-inch wheels, digital rearview mirrors, JBL premium audio packages with 14 speakers, and a special head-unit display.
