Mahfud MD Values The Digital Economy Like A Hazardous Knife Eye
JAKARTA - Indonesian Vice Presidential Candidate Mahfud MD assesses the digital economy in Indonesia as a knife that can cause losses and benefits.
Mahfud explained that currently the government already has a law (UU) on Personal Data Protection (PDP) and the ITE Law. The development of the digital economy cannot be avoided, but people please be careful about its impact.
"We cannot refuse it, but we must be careful because there is extraordinary disruption. I am handling the loan case. People are victims, there is crypto, for example. The problematic borrowing case is because it is made legally civil," explained the Second Debate of Vice President Friday, December 22.
Mahfud said that currently many people are easily trusted by the lure so that many people are caught in the loan.

According to Mahfud, there is an example, namely a teacher who takes loan loans from hundreds of thousands, but continues to flower up to hundreds of millions.
"There is a teacher in Semarang borrowing only 500 thousand Then his debt becomes Rp 240 million because the interest always increases," he said.
Mahfud admitted that he would strengthen infrastructure development that was evenly not only physical but digital. "However, we will also strengthen the development of regulatory infrastructure and also digitalization infrastructure. Cybersecurity is very important," he explained
