Reduce Carbon Emissions, Perum Damri Supply 26 Electric Bus Units For Transjakarta Operations
JAKARTA - Perum Damri together with PT Transport Jakarta (Transjakarta) launched 26 electric buses. The bus is used for Transjakarta operations in two corridors of the feeder route. With the addition of Damri, Transjakarta will operate 100 units of electric buses in DKI Jakarta.
President Director of Damri Setia N. Melatia Moemin explained that this step is one of the involvement of SOEs in supporting efforts to reduce carbon emissions in the transportation sector.
"Alhamdulillah, we were given the opportunity to operate in Transjakarta using 26 electric buses," he said at the Launch of 26 Electric Bus Units, at the National Monument, Jakarta, Friday, December 22.
Furthermore, Setia said the supply of 26 buses also equipped 100 electric buses used by Transjakarta in its operational area.
"As promised by the Provincial Government to the people of DKI Jakarta, it will end up being 100 also at the end of this year. We from DAMRI are really grateful for the collaboration with PT Transjakarta to be able to reward and fulfill the promises of the 100 electric buses," he said.
Setia emphasized that the presence of this electric bus is proof of the company's commitment to reduce the level of carbon emissions in the transportation sector. After previously using solar panels in the company's operations.

Meanwhile, Transjakarta President Director Welfizon Yuza said the 26 electric buses would become Transjakarta passenger buses. He said, there are 2 feeder routes that the bus will serve.
"The electric bus unit operated by Perum Damri is a low-floor electric bus that will serve feeder integration routes in Transjakarta, namely the Senayan-TU Gas Roundabout route or what we know as 4C and also the Pulogadung-Pinang Ranti route or we know the 4F route," said Welfizon.
