Support Information Service Transparency, Waskita Achieves The Predicate Of Informative Public Agency

JAKARTA - PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT) won an award as a public body with an informative predicate on the implementation of monitoring and evaluation of Public Information Disclosure (KIP) 2023 which was held by the Central Information Commission.

The award charter as an informative public body was officially given by the Chairman of the Central Information Commission, Donny Yoesgiantoro to the President Director of the Company, Muhammad Hanugroho. Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ma'ruf Amin also witnessed the awarding at the 2023 Public Information Disclosure Award at the Indonesian Vice Presidential Palace, Jakarta.

"I view that Public Information Disclosure is an essential element in realizing good governance and at the same time being one of the determinants of the success of bureaucratic reform programs. In addition, I also have confidence that transparency of information is a way to care for democracy whose ultimate goal is to improve people's welfare," said Ma'ruf Amin, in his statement, quoted Friday, December 22.

Vice President Ma'ruf Amin also reminded regarding the Equitableness of information services. Equitableness of public information services throughout Indonesia is still homework that needs to be done together.

The government must continue to strive for the development of communication infrastructure, especially in the Disadvantaged, Frontier and Outermost (3T) areas. Moreover, the Indonesian people are in the general election period (election).

"Once again I congratulate you on the award for public information disclosure in 2023. I hope this activity will ignite enthusiasm to optimize the fulfillment of public information disclosure by all state administrators and public bodies. I also congratulate the award recipients, making this award a reminder to continue to maintain and improve the standard of information services to the public," continued the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia.

SVP Corporate Secretary of the Company, Ermy Puspa Yunita said, in 2022 Waskita received the title of less informative. The assessment carried out every year encourages the Company to always be committed and improve public information services so that it becomes evidence of Waskita as an informative public body in 2023.

"In monitoring and evaluation of KIP in 2023, the Company is active to be able to meet the requirements of all assessment elements. With this predicate, the Company continues to carry out its commitment to become an informative SOE Company, one of which is to improve transparent public information services by prioritizing the principles of information disclosure," said Ermy.

The predicate of the Informative Public Agency is the highest predicate in the classification of KIP assessments starting from Non-Informative, Less Informative, Quite Informative, Towards Informative and Informative.

Chairman of the Central Information Commission, Donny Yoesgiantoro, reported that the number of public bodies that received Informative qualifications amounted to 139 or 37.07% of the 369 public bodies. With the results of 139 public bodies receiving informative titles, this has exceeded the target of the national medium-term development plan, namely 90 informative public bodies.

The 2023 Public Information Disclosure Award was held on 369 public bodies with 7 categories, namely Ministries, State Institutions and Non-Ministerial Government Institutions, Non-Structural Institutions, Provincial Governments, State-Owned Enterprises, State Universities and Political Parties.

The Public Information Disclosure Award is an award given by KIP every year to public bodies that carry out the mandate of Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Disclosure (UU KIP), based on monitoring and evaluation conducted by KIP.
