Tickets For Holidays And New Year's Trains Already Sold 52.48 Percent

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI noted that long-distance and local trains for the 2023 Christmas and 2024 New Year (Nataru) periods had only sold 52.48 percent of the total provided, namely 3.2 million.

The ticket sold as of Thursday, December 21. KAI itself stipulates that the Christmas and New Year's Transport period (Nataru) will take place from December 21, 2023 to January 7, 2024.

"Based on the monitoring of ticket availability that can be booked on Thursday, KAI recorded sales of KAI-managed long-distance and local train tickets totaling 1,529,099 tickets or 52.48 percent of the total tickets provided," said KAI President Director Didiek Hartantyo in an official statement, Thursday, December 21.

Furthermore, Didiek said specifically for the 2023 Christmas homecoming flow, the period from 21 to 24 December 2023 had reached 598,272 tickets.

"Or 88.8 percent of the tickets provided are 673,438 tickets," he said.

Didiek said that the highest ticket sales for the Christmas 2023 homecoming flow occurred on Saturday, December 23, 2033, totaling 163,622 passengers or 97.21 percent of the tickets provided.

Meanwhile, continued Didiek, sales of the highest ticket for Christmas 2023 backflow have so far occurred on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 with a total of 125,088 passengers or 74.17 percent of the tickets provided.

"Hopefully with careful preparation from all these aspects, Nataru's transportation by train can run safely, healthy, safe, smooth, controlled, and protected and guided by God Almighty," said Didiek.
