Kerispatih Presents New Singles For Personnel Who Have Passed Away To The Creator

JAKARTA - Kerispatih has just released a new single entitled Pesan Rindu. This song was written by Arief Morada and Fandy Santoso in 2019.

The message of Rindu was presented by three Kerispatih personnel, Fandy (vocals), Arief (guitar) and Anton (drums) for the late Andika (bass) who first passed away to the Creator in 2018.

Although aimed at the late Andika, Kerispatih arranged his new single with a more cheerful feel. Arief said the joy depicted the bassist's personality.

"Andika is a cheerful person, so we don't want the song to be too sad. Indeed, the theme of the song is longing, but longing is more towards moving on," said Arief during a press conference in Cipinang, East Jakarta, Thursday, December 21.

"We make the tempo more into medium beat. But the lyrics of the song and the melody are indeed mellow," he continued.

Rindu's message was chosen to be released at this time after experiencing several delays. Kerispatih felt it was not right if this song was released during the pandemic.

After discussing with Nagaswara as a music label that houses Kerispatih, the three personnel agreed to release the Rindu Message at the end of this year.

Karena ada beberapa pertimbangan sih. Ada beberapa lagu lain juga yang sempat kita tujukan. Di tahun 2023 ini ketika kita tujukan lagi, kita lihat musik dan lirik Pesan Rindu ini lebih relevan dengan saat ini, ujar Fandy.

Kerispatih's latest single was also presented in the video clip. They invited a young female model, Zoe Levana, to star in it.

Zoe Levana's presence shows two things that Kerispatih wants to convey through the Rindu Message, namely Andika's personality who likes to joke and songs that are closer to young people today.

"Zoe Levana is still young, so it represents generation Z," said Fandy.

"And Zoe joked that she really matched the late Andika," concluded Anton.
