David Makes Playlist Of Cross Genre Christmas Songs On Spotify, Listen To It!
JAKARTA - Canadian-born American musician David Badminton compiled a Christmas playlist featuring The Pogues, Phoebe Bridgers, Prince, and many more.
Created as part of the Fresh Air NPR series, the playlist containing 19 songs includes various genres with songs that can make anyone excited about the holidays.
You can describe the playlist as something that will bring a little excitement on vacation.
While speaking to NPR, the former speaker of Talking Heads explained why his band never wanted to make a holiday album.
"On the one hand, Christmas songs are eternal... so you are ready to receive royalties for your songs or whatever," he said. But if it doesn't work, you just experience something embarrassing.
He continued by talking about some of the highlights of the playlist. Even though Talking Heads never made a holiday album, my wife released a solo song called Fat Man's Comin last year where she herself gave an accurate interpretation of Mr. Christmas.
Speaking of writing the song, my mother said: 'This is a foreigner who sneaks into your house, basically, leaves the package and wears a rather strange outfit. I thought, what if I just wrote that?'

Talking about the holiday creations of the late Shane MacGowan, my son said: "He paints the picture of a fighting couple who actually love each other so much, immigrants who come to New York and have difficulties, gain their footing."
Other songs included in the playlist including Paul Simon's Getting Ready for Christmas Day, LCD Soundsystem's Christmas Will Break Your Heart, James Brown's Santa Claus Go Straight to the Ghetto, 100 Gec's Sympathy 4 The Grinch, Gaby Moreno's Mi Burrito Sabanero, Santa Doesn't Know You Like I Do and many more.
