Finally, Hello Kuala Lumpur Content Takes Down From YouTube

JAKARTA - The case of plagiarizing the song Halo Bandung to Hello Kuala Lumpur by the YouTube channel The song Kanak TV had made some Indonesians angry.

Last September, Ismail Marzuki's son as the heir to the song Halo-halo Bandung tried to investigate this case. Finally, they managed to take down Hello Kuala Lumpur's content on YouTube and other social media.

"Currently we have succeeded in taking down the song from the YouTube and Tiktok platforms. However, we still have not received any information about the party who made it," said Ari Juliano as the attorney to the media crew recently.

"(Resmi di take down) Youtube dan Youtube Music pada 17 Oktober, Tiktok pada 30 Oktober," sambungnya.

Meanwhile, one of the focuses of the heirs is removing the content of the song Hello Kuala Lumpur from circulation.

The success of removing these contents was obtained after making an official request to YouTube.

However, until now the heirs have not received the perpetrator who is suspected of plagiarizing the song Halo-halo Bandung. The Indonesian Embassy in Malaysia and related government agencies are also still investigating this case.

Furthermore, Ari said that the search for the perpetrators took a long time because of the lack of information regarding the YouTube channel for the Song Kanak TV.

"Because there is no clear identity regarding who owns the YouTube and Tiktok accounts or channels," said Ari.

"Although the Indonesian Embassy has asked for assistance in Kuala Lumpur, there is still no further information," he concluded.
