George Lynch Not Entering The 250 Greatest Guitarists Of All Time Rolling Stone Version, Less Thick Envelopes?
JAKARTA - In a new interview with Ralph Rasmussen of RadioBypass, George Lynch spoke of the list of "250 of the Largest Guitarists of All Time" released by Rolling Stone magazine recently.
Not without reason. Lynch's name is not on the list. even though the former Dokken guitarist has led his own band, Lynch Mob for nearly 35 years.
"In my opinion, there are only 250 guitar players on that list, so this is a short list. But apparently, my management contacted Rolling Stone, the people who made the guitar list there," Lynch said.
"It's a big office; the skyscraper in New York City - and the big guy there, he said, 'Obviously Lynch is 251'. So, if it's the top 251 guitar players, I'm definitely on the list," continued the guitarist.
"I told you: I thought it would be cooler to be the last person than the first person," he continued.
