KPK Council: Firli Attends Or Doesn't Trial Allegations Of Continuous Road Ethical Violations
JAKARTA - Member of the Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Syamsuddin Haris confirmed that Firli Bahuri's alleged ethical violation trial will continue today, Wednesday, December 20. The presence or absence of the inactive KPK chairman will not affect the process.
"There is no change. Mr. FB is present or the road ethics trial continues," said Syamsuddin in a written statement to reporters quoted on Wednesday, December 20.
Syamsuddin said the trial would present dozens of people for questioning. However, he did not specify who they were.
The trial was held at the ACLC KPK Building, Rasuna Said, South Jakarta. "If I'm not mistaken, 12 people (presented, ed)," he said.
Meanwhile, Firli Bahuri has not stated that he will attend the ethics trial held by the KPK Supervisory Board. "Tomorrow (today, red) we will see," he said in the East Jakarta area, Tuesday night, December 19.
The retired Poldri also said that whether or not he was present would not affect the course of the ethics trial. This is because the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Council has stated that the trial will continue and will not be postponed again.
It is known that the KPK Council has a target of completing the alleged reduction in Firli's ethics before the year's change or the end of December.
"Whether or not (the KPK Council's ethics trial, ed) continues," he said.
As previously reported, the KPK Council agreed to try Firli regarding three alleged ethical violations. The first is related to a meeting with former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo.
