Liga 2 2023/2024 Enters The Advanced Round, Top 12 And Relegation Playoffs Scrolling January 6

JAKARTA - Indonesia's second caste competition, Liga 2 2023/2024, has entered the round of 12 and the relegation playoffs which will be held simultaneously on January 6, 2024.

This was conveyed by Ferry Paulus, President Director (Managing Director) of PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB), at a press conference at the Century Hotel, Senayan, Jakarta, on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 evening WIB.

Ferry Paulus also explained how the format will be used in the League 2 continued round.

The continuation schedule for the 16th round (relegation playoff) and the 12th round begins at the same time on January 6, 2024. Then, it ends on February 3, 2024. From there, for the last 12 it will then continue after the election," said Ferry Paulus after the agenda of the League 2 Club Owners Meeting.

In the round of 12, it contains the three best teams from the four preliminary phase groups. They will be divided into three groups, namely Group X, Group Y, and Group Z.

Group X will be inhabited by Semen Padang FC, Persiraja Banda Aceh, PSMS Medan, and PSIM Yogyakarta. Group Y will contain FC Bekasi City, Persela Lamongan, Malut United FC, and Deltras FC.

Finally, Group Z will be filled with PSBS Biak, Persewar Waropen, Persipal Babel United, and Gresik United FC. These three big 12 groups will compete with a round robin system.

Furthermore, Ferry Paulus also mentioned that the round of 12 will be broadcast live. Meanwhile, the match of the round of 16 or the playoff of relegation will not be broadcast.

"For the small round of 16 (relegation playoff) there is no broadcast, but we have tapping (record or delay). Then for the entire round of 12 there will be live broadcasts and streaming," he said.
