Kaesang Reaffirms Target To Complete PSI Bulang Asset Confiscation Bill Entering Senayan

PURWOKERTO - Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep asked for support for his party to the people in Purwokerto, Central Java, so PSI could enter parliament and seek to eradicate corruption through the push for ratification of the Asset Confiscation Bill (RUU).

"What we are doing (to improve the welfare of the community) is through eradicating corruption, through the Asset Confiscation Law which we will goal if you choose PSI and God willing, you can enter Senayan," he said at the 'Silaturahmi Mas Kaesang event with Earth Volunteers Ngapak Raya', in Purwokerto reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 19.

Kaesang assessed that efforts to prosper the community would be difficult to achieve as long as there were still corruptors. Therefore, Kaesang made efforts to ratify the Asset Confiscation Bill his party's top priority.

"People will find it difficult to prosper if corruptors still exist," he said.

"Corruptors are afraid of imprisonment. Corruptors are afraid of hell. Corruptors are afraid of being poor. Well, that's what we want to do," he said further.

In this effort, PSI has so far encouraged the Asset Confiscation Bill to be ratified as soon as possible.

However, the steps are still limited because PSI does not yet have a representative in parliament. The survey institute also placed PSI not passing the parliamentary threshold.

For this reason, Kaesang asked for public support through the political safaris he conducted in various regions in Indonesia.

In a political safari in Central Java, PSI targets the acquisition of one seat for one electoral district. Of the 13 electoral districts in Central Java, PSI targets the acquisition of at least 10 seats on the parliamentary board.

Before going to Central Java, Kaesang also conducted a political safari to Medan, Kupang in East Nusa Tenggara, Manado in North Sulawesi, Bandung in West Java, and several other areas in Java and Jakarta.
