The Merger Of Angkasa Pura Is Targeted To Be Completed In February 2024
JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir targets the merger or merger of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) or AP I and PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) or AP II to be completed as early as February next year.
Furthermore, Erick said that currently the discussion for the unification of the two airport management companies is going well.
"Angkasa Pura (AP I and AP II) are also in the merger process, hopefully it will be completed in February-March (2024)," Erick said at a press conference at the Ministry of SOEs, Jakarta, Tuesday, December 19.
On this occasion, Erick again mentioned the merger that had been carried out at PT Pelindo (Persero) from four companies to one in 2021. He said the merger made Pelindo able to carry out efficiency and optimization reaching IDR 1.3 trillion in 2022.
Not only Pelindo, Erick also mentioned the mergers carried out at PTPN. He said, the corporate action made PTPN develop and posted a fairly large profit.

Erick explained that airport or airport industries in various countries have begun to change. Therefore, Erick considered it necessary to anticipate. Moreover, he said, sometimes the industry is trapped in its outer appearance.
However, he continued, many countries are the opposite where the outside of the airport looks normal but the conditions inside are good. Erick said, this made Turkey's airport the best airport in 2022.
"Sometimes we are airports trapped for visuals outside, so the building is good. But if we look at benchmarking from various countries, actually the extraordinary buildings are normal, in fact, it must be good inside," he said.
