Independent Securities Target SID Growth To Reach 1 Million Next Year

JAKARTA - PT Mandiri Sekuritas targets investor growth to reach 1 million Single Investor Identification (SID) next year driven by the potential growth of retail investors from the younger generation.

"Now it is in the hundreds of thousands that are active. But our target is 1 million SID next year," said Retail Mandiri Sekuritas Director Theodora Manik in Media Gathering, Tuesday, December 19.

As for achieving this target, Mandiri Sekuritas collaborated with its parent company, Bank Mandiri, by presenting the integration of the Mandiri Online Securities Trading (MOST) application on SuperApp Livin to increase access to digital investment services for customers.

With this integration, customers can be faster and easier to open stock accounts or Customer Fund Accounts (RDN), check investment portfolios, transfers, and withdraw balances from RDN through Livin.

Theodora said the opening of access from Livin could make it easier for customers to open investment accounts in the capital market, which previously only previously only through MOST can now be through mobile applications from Bank Mandiri.

"We welcome the presence of investment portfolio information in MOST which can also be seen in Livin, transfer of investment withdrawals from the MOST application through Livin will be a convenience for customers," he explained.

According to Theodora, this integration will greatly facilitate customers in managing investment without being complicated and providing access for Livin customers and the wider community to invest and build their welfare through the Indonesian capital market.

Mandiri Sekuritas President Director Oki Ramadhana said that his party hopes that this initiative will make it easier for people to invest in the Indonesian capital market.

In addition, customers will have a wider variety of digital investment access features and convenience in managing assets, so that they can achieve future financial goals more directed and robustly.

This integration is also a form of Mandiri Sekuritas support as a subsidiary of Bank Mandiri to strengthen the digital ecosystem in SuperApp Livin', especially in the Livin' Investment feature. With the presence of MOST in Livin', customers can have seamless banking access and capital markets, easy or user-friendly, and widely," said Oki.

As of October 2023, Mandiri Sekuritas has recorded nearly 260 thousand customers, of which 99 percent are retail investors, who are the main targets of this program.
