Receiving Support From The Gemuis Caucus, Prabowo Invites Volunteers To Pray For Gaza
JAKARTA - The presidential candidate, Prabowo Subianto, invited the masses to offer prayers for the safety of Gazans in Palestine during a speech at a declaration of support from the Young Islamic Generation T-shirt Volunteers (Gemuis) at Balai Kartini, Central Jakarta.
"Let us pray in our hearts that our brothers in Gaza are given assistance by the Almighty, protected from bomb rain and extraordinary massacre efforts against us," he said in a written statement quoted by ANTARA, Monday, December 18.
The prayer was offered because until now the war on the Gaza Strip was still raging. Many civilians were victims of the brutal attacks carried out by the Palestinian military. The atmosphere was silent for a few seconds when the masses bowed and prayed according to his invitation. After the prayer was over, Prabowo resumed his remarks.
In his remarks, Prabowo assessed that every country must have strength so as not to be oppressed by a stronger party.
"If we are weak, we will be oppressed. Because there is no choice, we must be strong," he explained.

The strengths needed, he continued, are not only in the military field but also in the economy, social and culture as well.
Thus, countries are not easily included in ideology or influence from foreign countries. Therefore, he hopes that Indonesia will have this capital in order to become a strong country.
