KPU Announces 11 Panelists Of The Vice Presidential Debate, Here's The List

The General Elections Commission (KPU) announced eleven panelist names that will formulate a list of questions about issues from the theme of the second debate.

KPU chairman Hasyim Asy'ari explained that the backgrounds of the eleven panelists are closely related to issues of the people's economy, digital economy, finance, investment, taxes, trade, management of the APBN/APBD, infrastructure, and urban areas.

"There are also panelist names that have been prepared by the KPU, there are 11 people with backgrounds related to the theme of debate, of course, which is broadly about the economy," said Chairman of the Indonesian KPU Hasyim Asy'ari as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, December 18.

Hasyim said the eleven panelists would also be quarantined for three days to formulate a list of questions in the second debate.

"For the panelist team, as in the past, tomorrow is the same. Because the debate is on the 22nd, the quarantine will start on December 20, 2023 and the day after," he explained.

The eleven panelists in the upcoming vice presidential debate are as follows:

Members of the Ombudsman for the 2018-2020 period Alamsyah Saragih, economist and lecturer at FEB, Jember University, Adhitya Wardhono, economist and Chancellor of the Indonesian Catholic University Atma Jaya for the 2015-2023 period, Agustinus Prasetyantoko,

Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung Fauzan Al Rasyid, economist and founder of CORE Indonesia Hendri Saparini, Deputy Chancellor of Academics and Innovation IPDN Hydronumus Rowa.

Associate Professor at the Economic Department of the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM Poppy Ismalina, Chancellor of Bengkulu University for the period 2021-2025 Retno Agustina Ekaputri, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Diponegoro University Suharnomo.

INDEF Executive Director and FEB lecturer at the Jakarta Veterans National Development University, Tauhid Ahmad, Executive Director of the Center for Strategic and International Studies/CSIS Yosa Rizal Damuri.
