After Ganjar, It's Kaesang Sambangi Wonosono's Turn
WONOSOBO - Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep was greeted by Lengger Dance while doing a political safari to Wonosobo, Central Java.
Arriving at the Selomerto Market, Kaesang and his entourage were greeted by hundreds of residents who had been waiting for their arrival. The dancers who were preparing then began to perform their dances when Kaesang entered the venue.
Lengger dance is a traditional dance typical of Wonosobo Region, Central Java. The moderator of the show said that the word "lengger" of the dance name comes from the word "eling" which means remembering, and "ngger" which is a term for a child.
The word "lengger" from the name of the dance gives a message of advice to always remember God the Creator.
After watching the dance performance, Kaesang then introduced himself. He also expressed his gratitude for being given the opportunity to greet the residents.
"Thank you everyone, for giving me the opportunity to at least speak here," said Kaesang as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, December 18.
