Ganjar Siti Atiqoh's Wife Promises To Encourage Work Expansion For Disabilities

TRENGGALEK - The wife of the presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo, Siti Atiqoh promised to encourage the expansion of job opportunities for vulnerable groups throughout Indonesia, especially for residents with special needs or disabilities who have been "arranged" so far.

"For this reason, the program carried by Ganjar-Mahfud is mandatory for 12 years of education, formal education to high school is borne by the government. Then one undergraduate in poor families. For informal education in the form of training, we train to be entrepreneur and so on," said Atiqoh during a political safari to Trenggalek Regency, East Java, reported by ANTARA, Monday, December 18.

He also appreciated the empowerment program for women and vulnerable groups in Trenggalek, which has been driven by the wife of the Trenggalek Regent, Novita Hardini.

According to him, the empowerment movement deserves to be an inspiration for the development and empowerment of women and disability groups in other areas.

The empowerment program, he said, covers the upstream of the women's MSME sector in Trenggalek, starting from digital marketing to increasing competitive products.

With this step, women can be more independent so as to minimize women from working as Indonesian workers.

"So leaving the family, children who need assistance during their growth period. Bu Novita's program is in line with Pak Ganjar's program," he said.

Atiqoh talks about expanding job opportunities for vulnerable groups such as disabilities.

Including access to education to career levels for vulnerable groups in accordance with the potential of each disability specification.

According to him, currently there is partiality to vulnerable groups, but according to Atiqoh, allocation is needed.

"The legal umbrella already exists, out of 100 people one job opportunity for people with disabilities, if it's affirmative, it needs to be increased. Including the matter of access to education to a career level, so it's like being mapped out," he said.

In addition to the besek center, Atiqoh also visited the Qomarul Hidayah Islamic Boarding School in Tugu District until he was called a resident at the Trenggalek Pon Market.
