Sad News: Former Mining Minister Kuntoro Mangkusubroto Dies
JAKARTA - Former Minister of Mines and Energy Kuntoro Mangkusubroto died at the age of 76, Sunday morning at 01.03 WIB.
"He died at RSCM Kencana at 01.03 WIB," said Secretary of Kuntoro Mangkusubroto, Anindityas, quoted from Antara, Sunday morning.
The deceased was buried at the funeral home on Jalan Kesemek Blok S Number 2 Kalibata Indah Complex, South Jakarta.
"(The deceased) will be buried in the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery after the dzuhur is planned," said Anindityas.
Kuntoro is a former Minister of Mines and Energy of Indonesia for the 1998-1999 period and also the former President Director of PT PLN Persero in 2000-2001.
The alumni of the Bandung and Stanford University Institute of Technology, United States, once served as Head of the Implementing Agency - Aceh-NIAs Reconstruction Rehabilitation Agency in charge of recovering the Aceh and Nias areas after the devastating December 26, 2004.
