The Astana Anyar Police Chief, Police Commissioner YP, Has Apparently Been Stalked

JAKARTA - Police Chief Astana Anyar, Bandung Kompol YP was arrested along with 11 members of the National Police in connection with suspected drug cases. 12 This person is still undergoing intensive examination.

West Java Police Chief Inspector General Ahmad Dofiri said YP Police and 11 members of the National Police were arrested starting from a member of the National Police who was indicated to have abused drugs.

Knowing this, the team from Internal Profession and Security (Propam), both the Police Headquarters and the West Java Police, conducted an investigation. From the results of this search, it was found that the suspicion that Kompol YP was involved in drug abuse.

"The search results are quite concerning, yes, because there is several other members' involvement. One of them that we regret is one of the police chiefs", said Ahmad Dofiri at Metropolitan Police Bandung, Bandung City, West Java, as reported by Antara, Thursday, February 18.

He said the joint team immediately made arrests of the 12 members of the National Police. They are now being secured by the West Java Police Propam. Apart from being secured, they were also given a urine test to confirm their involvement.

Although the decision from the West Java Regional Police Propam has not yet been issued, Ahmad Dofiri confirmed that Kompol YP has been removed from her post. Her party also continues to deepen the dozens of police officers who were caught in the alleged drug case.

"If this is true, and the evidence shows that there is involvement in drug abuse, of course, we will take firm action", he said.

The firm action, he said, ranged from dishonorable dismissal (PTDH) to conviction for the drug abuse case. He also hopes that the other members can take lessons to stay away from these prohibited items.

"This is a manifestation of our seriousness where when there is any indication, our Propam also immediately conducts an investigation, we do not want our members to be trapped further", said Ahmad Dofiri.
