Woman Motorcyclist Hits 3 Retail Gasoline Kiosks And Bomb Patches To Explode, 1 Person Dies

JAKARTA - Three semi-permanent, 2-story buildings that were used as tire patch workshops and retail gasoline kiosks on the edge of the Toll Road Buncing, RT 03/04, West Cakung Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta, were burned to the ground, Friday, December 15, afternoon.

It is known, the cause of the fire started when a motorcycle user who went against the current then hit a retail gas kiosk at the location.

A motorbike named Siti Dwi Santika (40) hit a retail gasoline seller on the side of the road. Then there was an explosion until a fire broke out.

As a result of the incident, Soridah Hutajulu (54), the wife of Winton Situmorang, the owner of the tire patch repair shop, died because she was trapped in a fire. At the time of the accident, Soridah was on the second floor of the workshop while cooking.

"The victim was found dead on the second floor of his kiosk. The victim was taken to the Police Hospital," said Romi, one of the eyewitnesses to the incident, Friday, December 15.

It was later discovered that the three semi-permanent buildings belonged to Winton Situmorang as the owner of the tire patch workshop. Sarif, the owner of retail gasoline and Saiful, owns one other building. The three of them signed on Nunung's land.

Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman, said the residents of the three burning buildings consisted of 3 families with 12 people. The area burned is about 120 square meters.

"The fire had been extinguished at 12:46 WIB after being splashed by 12 fire engines," said Gatot.

The process of extinguishing the fire has no obstacles because the location is easily accessible to the officers.

"We have deployed 48 personnel from officers to the location. There are no obstacles," he said.
