ASDP Calls Traffic Smooth Since The Implementation Of Ticket Purchase Radius

PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) claims that traffic to ports has been monitored smoothly since the implementation of regulations on the limitation radius of online ferry ticket purchases on Monday (11/12) at the four main ASDP ports.

The four ports are Merak, Bakauheni, Ketapang, and Gilimanuk. Since the enactment of the regulation, traffic has been monitored smoothly at a number of buffer zone points and stoppers to the port.

ASDP Corporate Secretary Shelvy Arifin said the post team from ASDP reported that until Thursday, December 14, vehicle traffic to the main ports in Merak, Bakauheni, Ketapang and Gilimanuk were monitored smoothly.

"There are several vehicles that are still not on a ticket but ASDP has provided education to the public and assisted in the process of purchasing tickets at predetermined points," Shelvy said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, December 15.

The determination of the regulation is based on the Letter of the Director General of Hubdat AP.406/1/5/DJPD/2023 regarding the Arrangement of Electronic Ticket Ordering Services Around the Port that ferry ticket bookings can be made up to a maximum radius of 5 km before the Port. This is also confirmed in the Joint Decree (SKB) of the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of PUPR, and the Korlantas Polri welcoming Christmas 2023 and the new year 2024.

"The goal is to create reliable and quality ports and crossings. Therefore, ASDP has carried out socialization still through the distribution of banners and banner installations at a number of points to the port. Coordination with relevant buffer zone officers has also been carried out to educate service users," said Shelvy.

Since the enactment of the rules for limiting ticket purchase areas, service users cannot make ticket purchases if they are within a predetermined radius. Messages requesting GPS Location activation will appear if the smartphone location is not detected.

Meanwhile, the Director of Road Traffic of the Directorate General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) Ahmad Yani explained the implementation of road and crossing traffic management to anticipate the density of passengers by sea.

"The schemes of acting such as normal (green), congested (yellow), and very congested (Red) schemes adjust the number of operating ships and ship transport capacity with the number of online ticket reservations or based on daily traffic monitoring, vehicles going to ports by optimizing coordination and collaboration with the Police, Transportation Agency and Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT) as well as other relevant stakeholders," he said.

ASDP also appealed to prospective passengers who brought their vehicles to buy tickets via ferry no later than D-1 departure to avoid running out of tickets according to the desired ship schedule.

In addition. make sure the personal data and the vehicle are also filled properly.

The regulation applies to all types of vehicles so that it is hoped that service users can pay close attention to the regulation of the radius.

Meanwhile, the area limiting the purchase of ferries tickets is from the outer side of Merak Port to the Pesona Merak Hotel or about 4.71 km, from the outer side of Bakauheni Port to the Agricultural Quarantine Center or about 4.24 km, from the outermost side of Ketapang Port to the Sritanjung Terminal or about 2.65 km, and from the outermost side of Gilimanuk Port to the Cargo Terminal or about 2 km.
