Corruption Procurement Of Regency Government Ships, Maluku SSB Kadishub And Consultants Sued 3 And 2 Years In Prison
The Public Prosecutor (JPU) has demanded the former Head of the West Seram Regency Transportation Service (Kadishub), Maluku, Peking Calling, with a three-year imprisonment and a fine of Rp. 100 million.
Peking was found guilty in the alleged corruption case of the SSB Regional Government (Pemda) ship procurement budget for the 2020 fiscal year.
The claim was submitted by the Public Prosecutor of the Maluku High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati), Achmad Atamimi, in a follow-up hearing with two defendants Peting and Faried which was held at the Ambon District Court, Maluku, Thursday, December 14.
"Asking the panel of judges who examined and tried this case to declare the defendant guilty of violating Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 paragraph (1), paragraph (2) and paragraph (3) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning amendments to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code," said Public Prosecutor Achmad, confiscated by Antara.
Meanwhile, the second defendant in the same case, namely a supervisory consultant from PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia named Faried, the Public Prosecutor stated two years in prison and a fine of Rp. 100 million.
The prosecutor explained what aggravated the two defendants because their actions had caused state or regional financial losses and did not support the government's program to eradicate corruption and collusion and nepotism.

Meanwhile, the mitigating factor is that the defendant is polite in the trial and has never been convicted and has family responsibilities.
The prosecutor said that in the 2020 fiscal year, the SBB Regency Government allocated a budget of IDR 7.1 billion for the procurement of an operational ship.
However, until the end of the 2020 fiscal year, it turns out that the physical operational ship of the district government has not been seen, so far the state financial loss has resulted in a loss of Rp. 5.07 billion.
