East Java Police Investigate The Case Of Grandpa From Magelang Joki CASN

The Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimsus) of the East Java Police is investigating allegations of illegal access and manipulation of data on the acceptance of candidates for the state civil apparatus (CASN) of the Attorney General's Office reports from the local high prosecutor's office.

"Yes, that's right, the East Java Regional Police received reports of alleged illegal cases of access and data manipulation. Currently being handled by the Ditreskrimsus by examining witnesses," said Head of Public Relations of the East Java Regional Police, Kombes Dirmanto in Surabaya, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, December 14.

Dirmanto said that AW (60), a resident of Taman Agung Muntilan, Magelang Regency, Central Java, who is a retired ASN, was reported for allegedly carrying out jockeying practices at the acceptance of CASN.

The beginning of the alleged illegal case of access and data manipulation began when the CASN selection committee officers at the CASN Competency System (SKB) stage of the Indonesian Attorney General's Office in 2023 at the East Java High Prosecutor's Office on 7 December.

"When matching the participant data, the officers received a facial mismatch between the participants who came and the document data received by the committee," he said.

Seeing this, continued Dirmanto, the committee interrogated the participants who finally received information that there had been a jockey allegedly carried out by AW.

"This AW was reported to the East Java Regional Police after the test committee found participants who were suspected and interrogated who finally received information that there had been a jockeying during the test," he said.

In this case, the East Java Regional Police will apply Article 46 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 30 paragraph (2) and/or Article 51 paragraph (1) jo. Article 35 of Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions as amended by Law Number 19 of 2016.

"The investigative team from the Ditreskrimsus Polda East Java has also coordinated with ITE experts to immediately follow up on this case," he said.
