Siti Atikoh: Mothers Must Be Healthy, She Is Backbone And Family Caretaker
JAKARTA - Siti Atikoh, the wife of the presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo, is proud to attend the "Healthy Woman, Strong Family" activity organized by presidential and vice presidential candidates Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD in Kapuk Village, West Jakarta. This event aims to raise awareness of the importance of maternal and child health in efforts to prevent stunting.
Siti Atikoh was accompanied by Deputy Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives Charles Honoris and his wife Irene Honoris. This activity was also attended by a number of community leaders such as Mr. Haji Kimung and Jeffry Waworuntu.
The series of activities that took place were the Free Health Check and Basic Food Bazaar at the initiative of residents. Because this activity aims to raise awareness of the importance of maternal and child health.
During her speech, Irene Honoris explained the importance of the role of mothers in the household. "We as Indonesian women have an important role not only in the family but also in society. So it is important for us to always be healthy and strong," he said.
The same thing was also conveyed by Mrs. Atikoh, "Earlier, Mrs. Irene said that the woman must be strong so that Indonesia is strong."
Atikoh provides understanding to mothers about the importance of the child's growth and development period on the first 1,000 days, from the beginning of the pregnancy until the child enters the age of 2 years. In addition to providing counseling on nutritious food, there will also be free examinations for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and child weight examinations.

"Mothers must be healthy. Because mothers are the backbone of the family. Mothers take care of their families. Especially for mothers who are pregnant, they must be healthy," said Atikoh in front of mothers while attending the 'Healthy Family Healthy' activity.
Furthermore, Atikoh said, those who are pregnant and have children under five must pay attention to nutritional intake, especially protein and carbohydrates.
"Protein is the easiest to get from eggs. It's easy to get and easy to process. Meanwhile, teenage girls must also be considered, because they often experience anemia. The point is that mothers and children must be healthy," added Atikoh.
This program was attended by around 1000 residents around the Kapuk area, West Jakarta. As is known, data from the West Jakarta City Health Sub-dept., Kapuk is the village with the highest stunting case rate.
Furthermore, Atikoh said, to ensure the accuracy of the stunting assistance target, his party must be able to map the pockets of the stunting area, as well as identify services that are still lacking and must be repaired.
This 'Healthy Family Healthy' activity is one of the strategic programs in supporting the vision and mission of the presidential and vice-presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD in an effort to accelerate the formation of superior Indonesian people who are qualified, productive and have a personality.
