AMIN National Team Asks For IKN Development Studies To Be Accessed Publicly

JAKARTA - The National Team for Winning Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (Timnas AMIN) stated that what was being questioned by the candidate pair (paslon) number 1 Anies-Muhaimin regarding IKN was not based on opposition but wanted to know the benefits of the community."Actually, we don't have a point of view to refuse, but whether IKN should be built that big," said AMIN National Team Spokesperson, Angga Putra Fidrian in Jakarta, Wednesday.Angga said the ongoing construction of the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) was in a hurry, not even involving the public and experts in doing it.So, said Angga, when someone questioned the development and wanted to review it, it was certainly understandable and did not become a basic problem and was even said to be an opposition."Procession and preparation of IKN development are in a hurry and do not involve the public, experts and all carried out in a short time," he said.According to him, what the people of Kalimantan need right now is not a magnificent palace, government employee offices, and their official homes, but more on basic issues such as health, education, transportation services and others.
He continued that Kalimantan currently also needs railroad lines, where in 2015 the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) issued a study related to the construction of railroads which only cost Rp23 trillion."Because what is needed in Kalimantan is the railroad line. Currently, the APBN infrastructure allocation fund in IKN is already IDR 26 trillion, that's all the comparison. This is what we need to study, whether the construction of the Palace or railroad. Which is more useful," he said.In the inaugural debate, presidential candidate Anies Baswedan stated that IKN development needs to be reviewed, because the development process does not involve the community and experts, so it becomes a question. The Indonesian KPU has appointed three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates as participants in the 2024 presidential election, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar with serial number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD number 3.The KPU has also set a campaign period from November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024, then the voting schedule will be on February 14, 2024.
