West Java Governor Reminds Creating Christmas And New Year's Conduciveness
BANDUNG - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Kalioni Machmudin at the 2023 Candle Lodaya Operations Cross-Sectoral Coordination Meeting at the West Java Police Headquarters, reminded all parties to contribute optimally in creating the conduciveness of Christmas 2023 and New Year 2024.
In terms of security, Bey asked the West Java Regional Police and Kodam III/Siliwangi to maintain good and professional security and order, including in the Christmas and New Year periods.
"Given that these two moments are not just a celebration event, but also year-end holidays that will increase people's mobility," said Bey at the West Java Police Headquarters as reported by ANTARA, Monday, December 11.
In terms of transportation, Bey asked all modes, including the Jakarta Bandung High Speed Train (KCJB)
"Because of this trash, it is not only attractive to the domestic community, but also Southeast Asia. And at the end of this year, it is predicted that there will be an increase in passengers and it needs to be prepared," he said.
He also asked the West Java Provincial Transportation Service to make maximum preparations by paying attention to all aspects of traveling between cities and roads in their own city.
"Don't let the intercity road run smoothly but the city is jammed. Please prepare parking bags to anticipate the accumulation of vehicles," he said.
For the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) and Jasa Marga, Bey reminded both of them to provide information to support smooth mobility in the Christmas and New Year periods.
"The weather forecast from the BMKG is also closely related to the smooth running of traffic. Then from Jasa Marga, we hope that there will be quick information to the public. If extreme weather occurs and things beyond our expectations and things related to traffic jams such as in the rest area so that they are informed not to be included in the rest area kilometer so much," he said.

Regarding increased mobility, according to Bey, this will also be directly proportional to the potential for increased waste problems.
"Improving community activities, I beg you to continue to remind about waste, facilities are also provided," he said.
As for Pertamina in the West Java region, Bey advised that subsidized fuel should not be an obstacle for the community, besides that, he asked for LPG gas to be maintained.
On the other hand, Bey asked the National Sar Agency (Basarnas) and related institutions to check all readiness for disaster-related disaster.
For the community, Bey asked not to 'panic buying' by buying food and excess drinks at the end of the year.
"Just go to college," said Bey.
Bey also asked the public not to panic regarding the increasing trend of COVID-19 cases, but to maintain vigilance.
"Stay vigilant by implementing health protocols. Especially health workers, they must be more prepared for this issue," he said.
