Ganjar: Legal Strengthening Needs To Ensure The Economy Grows 7 Percent

Presidential candidate number 3, Ganjar Pranowo is committed to strengthening the legal aspect to ensure Indonesia's economy grows above 7 percent.

"The law is upright, the APH [Law Enforcement Officials] is strong, for the economy to grow 7 percent," said Ganjar in the Apindo Candidate 2024 Dialogue in Jakarta as reported by ANTARA, Monday, December 11.

Ganjar assessed that the aspect of licensing in the bureaucracy is still a problem in Indonesia's current business world.

"High cost always appears because from the start we have faced those difficulties," he said.

According to him, corruption, collusion, nepotism (KKN), illegal levies (extortion) and legal mafia practices are one of the aspects that hinder economic growth.

Ganjar explained that industrialization is also the key for Indonesia to be able to achieve economic growth above 7 percent.

Later, industrialization will attract investment, then investment will open up job opportunities in Indonesia.

The former Governor of Central Java also said that he would create 17 million jobs, encourage workers to advance to class, and increase the Incremental Capital Output Ratio (ICOR) 4 times.

"From investment to create jobs, and our job is to prepare superior human resources, including we prepare a program which is how poor groups can jump, women's groups can jump, people with disabilities can jump with education, so don't offer this education," he explained.
