JAKARTA - The country's Metalheads should be proud of their achievements. Based on data released by the Seasia Stats Instagram account on Sunday, December 10, Indonesia is the contributor to the most metal bands compared to other countries in Southeast Asia.

Of the 11 countries recorded, Indonesia is in the first position with a total of 2,367 metal bands. Then, Malaysia is in second place with a total of 724 bands. In third position, the Philippines has 383 metal bands.

Interestingly, there are still more total metal bands in Indonesia if they are pitted against ten other countries combined.

Meanwhile, the total metal band from ten countries except Indonesia is 1,786. This total is still less than the total metal band in the country.

Based on a study conducted by Gianluca Cellini and published in 2017, it was stated that there was great interest in metal music because the situation in Indonesia was indeed suitable for loud music.

Gianluca gave an example of the city of Yogyakarta, which is relatively small, but is able to hold live metal music performances at least once a week
