BWF World Tour Finals 2023 Minimal Obstacles for Indonesian Representatives
JAKARTA – Preparations for Indonesian representatives to face the BWF World Tour Finals 2023 are minimal. All badminton players are in combat ready condition.
Six Indonesian representatives who will compete in the season-ending event have arrived in China on Sunday, December 10, 2023.
They also held training at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, Hangzhou, Monday, December 11, 2023.
Head of Development and Achievement, Rionny Mainaky, said that the two hour training was divided into two sessions, 60 minutes each on the match field and the remaining 60 minutes on the training field.
"Training was quite good. Adaptation also had minimal problems even though the field was quite different, the carpet was red. Apart from that, the condition of the shuttlecock was also a focus for adjustment," he said.

During that training, Rionny went directly to the field to hone the skills of Bagas Maulana and his friends. He helps mature players' shots.
"My most important message is to take care of your health. The weather here is rainy and cold so don't catch flu and so on," he said.
Meanwhile, the men's singles coach, Irwansyah, said that apart from the field conditions having minimal problems, Jonatan Christie and Anthony Sinisuka Ginting were also in top condition.
"The children are in top condition with everything that has been prepared in Jakarta today, trying to restore the feeling of hitting, adapting, etc. So, there were a lot of game simulations," he said.
In line with Irwansyah, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting said there were no significant obstacles during the field trials.
"Tomorrow there is still a chance to try the field one more time. So, hopefully we can get better while seeing whether there are changes or not before going to the first match," said Ginting.
Ginting successfully reached the final round in last year's edition, determined to improve his performance again.
"Every player has the same hopes and opportunities. So, as usual I want to focus on myself to prepare well."
"I want to improve this week's performance from previous tournaments," concluded Ginting.
BWF World Tour Finals 2023 will take place from December 13-17. The draw for the group stage was held tonight after the gala dinner.
