Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Becomes The First Tour To Earn 1 Billion US Dollars Of Dirty Income
JAKARTA - Taylor Swift's Eras Tour officially became the first tour to generate $1 billion in gross revenue.
According to Pollstar, live entertainment trading magazine Swift is now setting a record for a tour with the highest gross income of all time.
This pop star has reached a ten-digit threshold afterstery shows and eight months on the streets.
Previously, Sir Elton John held a record tour with the highest gross revenue, with the 'Farewell Yellow Brick Road' tour earning $939 million.
The legend reached the mark with 328 shows and five years of tours from September 8, 2018 to July 8, 2023.
The magazine also claims that Swift sold 4.3 million tickets with an average ticket price of 238.95 US dollars, and calculates that the singer grossed around 17.3 million US dollars for the average show on its current tour section.
