Palestinian Musicians Are Furious To See Their Father's Guitar Played By Israeli Soldiers
JAKARTA - Israel's military invasion of Palestinian territory in Gaza leaves many sad stories. A young musician named Hamada Nasrallah has a heartbreaking story that he then shared with Middle East Eye.
Hamada Nasrallah is a young Palestinian musician who had to be evacuated from his home located north of Gaza during an Israeli military attack last October.
He told how he last week watched via TikTok that an Israeli military was playing his guitar on the rubble of a building north of Gaza.
"It really shook," said Hamada Nasrallah, launching Middle East Eye, Wednesday, December 6.
Hamada is clearly furious. The reason is, the guitar was the gift of his father who died as a result of an Israeli military attack on Gaza in 2014.
My father died shortly after the 2014 attack on Gaza, and now they are coming to take the last memories I have from him, Hamada said.
'Isn't it enough if they take away our loved ones, our homes, our families, and even our music and memories? Where did that injustice stop?' he continued.
Meanwhile, Hamada along with the two band members he formed, had to flee south of Gaza. He had to separate from his family and relatives who were in the Nuseirat refugee camp.
Hamada said he had no choice to leave his father's guitar. He had to pack other items into his backpack.
Hamada saw the soldier's video the day after his arrival in Deir al Balah.
"For a moment, I feel hopeless, helpless and vulnerable because I can't defend my property," he said.
For information, Hamada and several of his colleagues formed a band called Sol Band Nasrallah.

Before the conflict in Gaza reheated, the band had toured in several countries such as Jordan, Egypt, Belgium and France.
Based overseas for more than three years, Sol Band Nasrallah decided to return to Gaza last October.
"I came back in October to spend time with my family. My plan is to extend my stay, record songs, albums and videos in Gaza. And we are scheduled to travel outside Gaza in early November," concluded Hamada Nasrallah.
