Ganjar Pranowo's Promise: Building Indonesia With Community Involvement, No One Left Behind

JAKARTA - Presidential Candidate Ganjar Pranowo emphasized the importance of building Indonesia by maintaining cultural diversity. Ganjar emphasized that leaving culture was a big mistake.

"Building Indonesia by leaving culture is a big mistake, a big mistake. Building Indonesia by involving participation from community groups is what is actually widely mentioned in modern theories, everyone must be involved, no one left behind," said Ganjar during a meeting with community and interfaith leaders in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, Wednesday 6 December.

Ganjar emphasized that Indonesia's development cannot be separated from regional development. Indonesia, which consists of various ethnicities, religions, races, and other aspects, according to him, requires an inclusive approach.

Regional development, said Ganjar, is often hampered by various obstacles, but solutions can be found in local wisdom.

"If we want to build a region, the locality of the tastes cannot be ignored. Why? Because from there there are a lot of wisdom values that can be used to solve problems that are often so complicated," he said.

Ganjar is committed to involving community leaders and local interfaith leaders in the development process of East Kalimantan.

In order to find valuable input, he invited to discuss in order to perfect the vision, mission, and development program, especially in the region.

"Today I actually prefer to listen to what will be said later in order to perfect the vision and mission and program, especially those in East Kalimantan," said Ganjar.

In addition, Ganjar also gave his appreciation to all people of East Kalimantan who have played a role in maintaining national diversity and values.

"When we are going to build something for mutual welfare, surely we will listen to the values, we will follow the values that are there," concluded Ganjar.
