5 Abortion Drug Sellers Without Background Health Sciences Arrested In Bandung

The Bandung City Police (Polrestabes) uncovered illegal drug sales for abortion practices. A total of five suspects were arrested in the disclosure of the case.

Bandung Police Chief Kombes Pol. Budi Sartono explained that the disclosure of this case was based on the development of the arrest of a drug dealer to abort the womb with the initials J.

"From the cellphone that we confiscated and developed. The person concerned with the initials J has sold drugs several times and also had abortion activities," Budi said at a press conference at the Bandung Police Headquarters, Monday, December 4, which was confiscated by Antara.

Budi said that after a deeper investigation was carried out and an investigation was carried out, it was found that J had sold the illegal drugs in several places, including the four people who have now been named suspects for having practiced abortion.

"The total amount of drugs distributed has been carried out by J for 12 times from July to November 2023," he said.

Furthermore, he said suspect J first used the abortion drug to his girlfriend, who was five months pregnant. Then from this, the perpetrator dared to circulate it through his Facebook account.

"So the modus operandi is to offer mouth-to-mouth abortion drugs via Facebook and then sell them," he said.

He said that this suspect did not have a background or background in health science and only studied self-taught after experiencing an abortion in his girlfriend's stomach.

Budi added that the hard drugs sold by the suspect were a category that could not be sold freely to the public and the acquisition could only be done using a doctor's prescription.

"It turns out that there have been many victims, starting from providing online abortion assistance and something is done directly physically," he said.
