Aiman Case Calls Police Not Neutral In The 2024 General Election, Polda Metro Examines Dozens Of Witnesses
JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya has examined dozens of witnesses in the investigation of the Aiman Witjaksono case who accused the police of not being neutral in the 2024 General Election. In addition, 10 experts have also been asked for their views.
"The total number of witnesses who have been clarified by the investigation team of the Cyber Sub-Directorate of the Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya is 26 witnesses," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak quoted Monday, December 4.
However, the identities of the witnesses who have been questioned at this stage of the investigation were not detailed. It was only conveyed that they were reporting witnesses and others.
In contrast, Ade actually explained clearly about the 10 experts who had been asked for their opinion by investigators.
It is said, starting from criminal experts to languages, they have given their views regarding the statement of the spokesman for the Ganjar-Mahfud MD National Winning Team (TPN) who accused the police of not being neutral in the 2024 election.
"There are two criminal law experts, 3 ITE experts, 2 language experts, 2 sociologists, and 1 press council," he said.
As for the examination of Aiman, it is said that it has been rescheduled on Tuesday, December 5. Aiman is known to have been absent on the agenda of the examination on Friday, December 1.
"The investigative team has again sent a letter of clarification invitation to Aiman Witjaksono for clarification which is scheduled to be carried out on Tuesday, December 5 at 09.00 WIB," said Ade.
As a reminder, this case began when Aiman uploaded a video on his personal Instagram account @aimanwitjaksono who said the police were not neutral in the 2024 election.

With the video, Aiman was reported by several parties. It was recorded that there were 6 reports received by the Polda Metro Jaya related to the alleged case of criminal acts of Information Crime and Electronic Transactions.
In that report, Aiman is suspected of violating the Crime of Information Crimes and Electronic Transactions of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions as referred to in Article 28 (2) in conjunction with Article 45 A Paragraph (2) of Law No.19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law of the Republic of Indonesia No.11 of 2008 concerning ITE and Or Article 14 and Or Article 15 of Law No.1 of 1946 concerning Criminal Law Regulations.
