The Export Value Of The Original Kaltara Commodity Increases

JAKARTA - The export value of North Kalimantan's original commodities in October 2023 reached 131.7 million United States (US) dollars, an increase compared to September, which was 130.8 million United States (US) dollars.

"This increase in exports was driven by an increase in exports of crude oil, natural gas, and logs," said Head of BPS North Kalimantan, Mas Ud Rifai in Tanjung Selor, Sunday, quoted by Antara.

In October 2023, the mining product sector experienced a decrease in exports by 8.98 percent or to 98.03 million US dollars. However, there was an increase in industrial yields to 31.7 million US dollars, an increase of 59.5 percent.

Meanwhile, commodity exports through ports in North Kalimantan Province in October 2023 increased by 181.46 percent compared to September 2023, which was 136.2 million US dollars.

Export commodities through ports in North Kalimantan Province in October 2023 were almost all non-oil and gas commodities. The export value of non-oil and gas for the January-October 2023 period reached 2.38 billion US dollars, an increase of 11.88 percent compared to the January-October 2022 period.

The increase in exports in October 2023 compared to September 2023 was due to an increase in exports of non-oil and gas non-oil and gas mining groups by 203.9 percent, agricultural products by 70.9 percent.
