Hundreds Of Residents' Houses In Panapa Lubuk Attitudes Submerged By Floods
JAKARTA - Hundreds of houses in Panapa, Nagari (Village) Durian Tinggi, Lubuk Attitude District, Pasaman Regency, West Sumatra, were flooded due to the overflowing of the Batang Panapa River on Saturday (2/12) night at around 21.30 WIB. The water that submerged people's houses as high as half a meter to one meter. Meanwhile, the main road conditions near Lubuk Attitude Market cannot be passed because the water was quite high until Sunday (3/12) in the morning at 02.00 WIB. "Our house was flooded. We were trapped in the house because the water outside is quite high," said one resident of Panapa Lubuk Attitude Rika (39) quoted by Antara.
According to him, the Batang Panapa River water began to rise on Saturday (2/12) at 20.30 WIB because it was triggered by heavy rain since the afternoon. Water levels rose and reached the road. The peak was around 21.30 WIB the water overflowed into the road and entered the residents' houses. "Our temporary children evacuated to the second floor of the house because the bottom was submerged in water. To leave the house was also unable because the water was still high and heavy in front of the yard," he said.

Another resident, Tria, said that only now was such a big flood that hit Panapa, Lubuk Attitude. In addition, there are also pieces of wood that cover the flow of water on the Panapa River bridge. "There are so many pieces of wood. Big wood also covers the flow of water under the bridge so that the water overflows up and submerges residents' houses," he said. Until Sunday (3/11) in the morning there were no officers who provided assistance.
