OIKN Receives 323 Investment Initial Commitments, 60 Percent Come From Indonesian Investors

The Capital Archipelago Authority (OIKN) received 323 Letter of Intent (LoI) or an initial commitment to invest in IKN Nusantara.

OIKN Deputy for Funding and Investment Agung Wicaksono said, of the total, about 60 percent came from domestic investors. Meanwhile, the rest or about 40 percent of foreign investors.

"Until now, there are 323 LoIs. Of the total 323, more than 60 percent of the country. That's an estimated calculation, something like that," said Agung when met on the sidelines of the IKN Investment Opportunities Roadshow, quoted on Saturday, December 2.

Agung assessed that the increase in LoI was quite fast, and almost all sectors were attracted by investors.

"I don't remember one by one, yes, but all sectors (of interest). The addition was quite fast. This means that earlier, this did not reduce interest. 205 (LoI) was last week or a few days ago, currently 323," he said.

Until now, there have been two groundbreakings for private investors at IKN that have been taking place in two periods, namely stages 1 and 2. Groundbreaking phase 1 takes place in September 2023, while stage 2 will be held 1-3 November 2023.

Now the total investment value that has been included in the IKN project has reached around Rp35 trillion. "Rp35 trillion was achieved in a few months. I think it can be seen that is the result," he said.

Agung said that it is targeted that by December a groundbreaking will be carried out again for the third stage, with an investment target of IDR 10 trillion.

"This is the president going to Dubai. God willing, after he returns, hopefully there will be certainty on the groundbreaking schedule," he added.
