Play Off League 1 Esports Rolls, 6 Teams Compete Fiercely To Qualify For The Final Round
JAKARTA - The 2023 National Esports League 1 play-off round starts on December 1 in Jakarta. A total of six teams will compete for the title.
The six teams are Borneo FC Esport Samarinda, Onic Miracle South Jakarta, Subber 24 Samarinda, Team Gryffin Badung, Pajajaran Esports Bogor and South Jakarta Esports Warriors. All teams will compete in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
Held at Mahaka Square, Kelapa Gading, the six competing teams will show their best performance in order to fight for a prize of IDR 2 billion.
The six teams competing in the play-off round are teams that have passed the selection from around 25 thousand teams screened since the League 3 competition yesterday. This is as revealed by Ricky Setiawan as the Head of the PB ESI Development and Achievement Division who is also the Chief Executive of this event.
Furthermore, Ricky Setiawan also said that this event was held as an effort to accelerate Esports in the country. Where with the acceleration, it will easily find competent seeds to be able to bring and make Indonesia proud.
The goal is that the National Esports League is spread, open and organized. The point is to accelerate the Indonesian esports ecosystem so that it is much more professional, much more open so that anyone can excel and make the nation proud on the world stage," he said in a statement.
The National Esports League has a hierarchical format with promotion and relegation. A successful team in the league can rise higher in the pyramid, while those at the bottom can be relegated even lower.

In future competitions, Ricky Setiawan opens the possibility to enter other game competition numbers besides Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and will also increase the number of series host cities.
Previously, the League 1 series had been held in four cities, namely Palembang, Pontianak, Surabaya and Makassar. The implementation which took place in the four cities was attended by thousands of fans with an average of 3,000 spectators watching directly to the venue.
