JAKARTA - The government continues to encourage the strengthening of the education, environment, MSMEs, and food security sectors, including through various social programs run by SOEs. As did the ID FOOD Food BUMN Holding together with 5 holding member companies in the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) activity which was held for two consecutive days on 29-30 November 2023, in Cianjur Regency, West Java.

ID FOOD Corporate Secretary Yosdian Adi Pramono, through his statement, Friday, December 1 in Jakarta, said that the implementation of this social social program is part of the company's efforts to improve the quality of education, the environment, MSMEs, and community food security, especially those around the company's working area.

"In Cianjur alone, ID FOOD carries out livestock business activities through PT Berdikari. This is important to increase collaboration between companies and the community in the context of regional development," he said.

According to him, ID FOOD together with its subsidiaries PT Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia (PPI), PT Berdikari, PT Perikanan Indonesia (Perindo), PT Shang Hyang Seri (SHS) and PT Garam held a number of programs packaged in the Smart ID FOOD, ID FOOD Sobat Bumi, ID FOOD Develops with MSMEs and ID FOOD Sehati.

Yosdian explained, ID FOOD Smart is a TJSL ID FOOD program engaged in education.

"In this program, we submit assistance for educational facilities at SMKN 1 Cikalongkulon, Cianjur, West Java, which has a focus on agricultural and agricultural agribusiness studies. Assistance includes livestock facilities. This is to make an optimal contribution to the education process in achieving the goals that have been set," he said.

In addition, there is also a sharing of knowledge and insight regarding the potential development of the national food industry conveyed by leaders and business activists from ID FOOD, PT Berdikari, and PT PPI.

"It is hoped that the assistance of educational facilities and sharing food development can help teaching and learning activities, as well as support the improvement of students' knowledge," explained Yosdian.

The next TJSL activity is the ID FOOD Sobat Bumi. This environmental-themed activity aims to provide awareness about the cleanliness of the environment and public facilities for the community.

"Through the ID FOOD Sobat Bumi activity, we held 1,000 trees planting in stages, including carried out on the land of Chinangi, Cikalongkulon, Cianjur, West Java, involving local officials such as the Camat, Kapolsek, Cikalongkulon Koramil and Village Heads. Planted trees such as trambesi and fruit trees that can be consumed and provide economic value, such as mangoes, and durian," said Yosdian.

In addition, he added, the activity of planting trees is also to reduce the potential danger of landslides in vulnerable areas.

"We prioritize planting in areas that are at risk of landslides. Through this movement, we are trying to restore the health of the ecosystem and improve the quality of ground and air water," he explained.

Other activities are ID FOOD Development with MSMEs which are attended by SMEs Rengginang and Telor Asin players in the Cianjur area.

"This activity is to help grow and develop potential local MSME players to become more resilient and independent, as well as to open job potential for the local community, so that they can contribute to regional economic growth," said Yosdian.

Therefore, according to him, various trainings were carried out in this activity to help MSMEs grow and develop. Training activities carried out include digital marketing training and training for the manufacture of Business Identification Numbers (NIB) for business licensing for MSMEs.

In addition, ID FOOD also held a healthy ID FOOD program, namely social social programs that aim to meet children's nutritional needs in order to achieve good nutritional status. Through this program, ID FOOD provides food packages consisting of rice, fish, chicken meat, cooking oil and sugar. Food aid packages are distributed to the public, especially targeting children and adolescents aged 1-15 years in Cikalongkulon, Cianjur.

"The four TJSL activities are in line with the direction of the Ministry of SOEs so that the presence of SOEs can be felt by the community. Along with that, ID FOOD hopes that the various assistance provided can provide benefits to the local community," he said.

Yosdian said, this social activity will continue to be encouraged and run regularly.

"This is an effort to realize the role of Food SOE Holding in contributing to food security; inclusiveness of farmers, breeders, fishermen, and MSMEs; as well as improving the performance and quality of the company," he said.
