Gibran Ready For Dialogue Related To The Determination Of Solo UMK
Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka admitted that he was ready to have a dialogue with the union regarding the determination of the city minimum wage (UMK).
"If there are complaints or what we are ready for dialogue," he said in Solo, Central Java, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, December 1.
However, he said, so far he has received no complaints from any party.
"So far, not, but if there are complaints, please. I am ready to accept an audience and dialogue," he said.
Regarding the UMK, Gibran emphasized that it was a joint decision.
Meanwhile, the same as other regions for the Surakarta UMK have been decided by the Central Java Provincial Government through the Decree of the Governor of Central Java Number 561/57 of 2023 dated November 30, 2023 and effective from January 1, 2024.
For the UMK, which has just been obtained, the figure is Rp2,269,070/month, meaning that there is an increase of Rp. 94,901 from the UMK this year, which is Rp. 2,174,169/month.
"The point is that it is a decision that we have taken together," he said.
This figure is obtained through calculations in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) Number 51 of 2023.

Previously, the Head of the Surakarta City Manpower and Industry Service (Disnakerperin) Widiastuti suggested an increase in the 2024 UMK.
For the acquisition of the Surakarta City UMK increase, the calculation is adjusted to the applicable regulations, namely in Government Regulation (PP) Number 51 of 2023.
"The link with this is that the determinants or indicators are in inflation or in alpha. Then there is economic growth and the UMK for the current year," he said.
In addition, the consideration is that the productivity level of Surakarta City is higher than the productivity level of Central Java Province.
His party also noted that the decline in open unemployment in Solo City according to the August 2023 National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) was lower than the province, which was at 4.58 percent, while the province was at 5.13 percent.
"So we got a high alpha, namely with alpha in the range of 0.25 to 0.30," he said.
