The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) also supports decarbonization efforts in an effort to accelerate the target of Net Zero Emissions (NZE) through the role of the vocational education unit owned by the Ministry of Industry.

Basri said that the AtI Makassar Polytechnic Research and Community Service Unit (UPPM) had received 103 scientific works (paper) from various institutions and universities in Indonesia.

Hundreds of scientific works on the Sustainable Energy Transition were received in the 2023 National Seminar for Industrial Technology (SNTI) entitled Sustainable Energy Transition: Strategy and Challenge for Net Zero Emission.

The seminar, which is the annual routine agenda of the AtI Makassar Polytechnic, presented two main speakers, namely the Founder of the National Battery Research Institute (NBRI) Evvy Kartini and the Training and Performance Dept. Kalla Toyota Irwan Effendy.

Basri said all scientific works received and successfully passed the review would be presented in parallel according to their respective scientific fields. In addition, it will also be published in a number of accredited national journals.

"The scientific work that reaches 103 papers is an impressive amount. This shows the high interest of academics and practitioners to participate in national seminars that choose the theme of the Sustainable Energy Transition," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Industrial Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDMI) of the Ministry of Industry Masrokhan hopes that the AtI Makassar Polytechnic in carrying out university tridharmas, especially research, can produce applied research that can be implemented directly in the industrial sector.

"I hope that this seminar can become a platform that accommodates the contribution and strengthening of the AtI Makassar Polytechnic collaboration in order to increase its contribution to the national industry," he said.
