Held Porsche Sprint Challenge In Mandalika, InJourney Yakin Bisa Tarik Investasi Dan Majukan Pariwisata

JAKARTA - PT Pembangunan Pariwisata Indonesia/Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), together with PT Mandalika Grand Prix Association Nusantara Jaya (MGPA) will hold an automotive race event Porsche Sprint Challenge Indonesia 2023 which will be held on December 8-10, 2023 at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit.

InJourney's Director of Marketing and Tourism Program, Maya Watono, said that this event is a starting point to develop events and attractions in Mandalika for four-wheel racing events.

Maya is optimistic that the increasing number of events being held will certainly increase the selling value of the area in the eyes of potential investors and also tourists who will visit.

"Efforts in organizing an event and attraction are a catalyst for the development of a destination that we must continue to protect. Of course, this event is one of our efforts as a traffic puller so that tourism in the Mandalika SEZ continues to grow," said Maya in Jakarta, Thursday 30 November.

Present on the same occasion, ITDC Director of Operations Troy War myan said, as a sports and international tourism tourism destination, ITDC seeks to make The Mandalika a superior international standard event. The presence of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Indonesia is a concrete step towards this vision.

"We believe that the existence of prestige events like the Porsche Sprint Challenge will not only strengthen our circuit position as an interesting sport tourism destination, but will also have a positive impact on the economy and the local community around it," said Troy.

Although initially the Mandalika circuit was used for two-wheeled racing events, he said, on his way, ITDC saw that this circuit could be developed for four-wheeled racing.

His party has also invited automotive activists such as the four-wheeled vehicle community to try out and get a good response from various parties.

"Alhamdulillah, we received a response from the public, from private stakeholders to take this to the Mandalika circuit," added Troy.

Just so you know, the Porsche Sprint Challenge Indonesia is licensed and operated by Supersport Motorsport, a sports motorcycle company based in Mandalika, NTB, and has full support from Porsche Indonesia.

This event has received homologation to hold the 4-wheel racing event through the support of the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI) and IMI-NTB administrators.

In the 2023 season, the Porsche Sprint Challenge Indonesia race will be held 3 times at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, namely 8-10 December 2023, 12-14 January 2024 and 26-28 January 2024.

Each race round consists of a Sprint Race with a duration of 30 minutes and a Endurance Race of 45 minutes.

A total of 10 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup racing cars are ready to compete in the inaugural season of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Indonesia.
