Ambon DPRD Asks Soya Country To Set 1 Definitive King Candidate
JAKARTA - The Ambon DPRD asked saniri or traditional stakeholders in Soya Country, Sirimau District, Ambon City to determine one candidate proposed as king.
"So as a customary country, you should only propose one name," said Chairman of Commission I of the Ambon City DPRD, Jafry Taihuttu in Ambon, Friday, November 30, confiscated by Antara.
The reason is, currently there are two names proposed as candidates for king, namely Reno Rehatta and Hervie Rehatta, but causing polemics in the midst of the local community.
So, he continued, the determination of the future king must be returned to the country concerned. Because domestically have regulations with three legitimacy, namely culture, administration, and regulation.
"The culture is in the country, the legitimacy is in the saniri meeting and the house's eye meeting orders to choose and determine who the candidate for king will be," he explained.
If through the three legitimacy referred to, both administratively and mechanisms can run well to give birth to a new king.
"Therefore, we return it to the country to hold a house meeting to verify it in Saniri and proceed to the City Government," said Jafry.

Jafry requested that the matter of king Soya be discussed properly within the country. So that what is proposed by saniri is only one candidate.
"We encourage it like that. And if there is a problem in the future, we will invite all parties for the mediation process," asked Jafry.
He added that the DPRD had an interest in the king of Soya Country because Soya was part of the center of Ambon City, which had to be a pioneer in the direction of accelerating the king with a cultural spirit. So this is an example. And we want that cultural spirit," he said.
