KPUPR Hands Over IDR 15.41 Trillion BMN, Minister Basuki: This Is A Form Of Accountability
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has again carried out the handover of state property (BMN) with a total acquisition value of IDR 15.41 trillion this year.
The BMN consists of BMN which will be transferred to ministries/agencies worth IDR 1.54 trillion and which are to be donated to local governments/people worth IDR 13.87 trillion.
Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono said the handover of state property (BMN) was a form of accountability for the budget provided.
"The submission of BMN is based on guidance from the Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani as a form of accountability for the budget given to the Ministry of PUPR. We report back to the public, which is not only in the form of large economic infrastructure such as dams and toll roads, but also people's infrastructure," Minister Basuki said in a written statement, quoted Thursday, November 30.
Basuki said, there were a number of BMNs that were handed over, such as drinking water infrastructure, flats (rusun) in both local governments (Pemda) and public education institutions and pesantren, and some from non-Muslims, such as crematorium.
Then, there is a suspension bridge that has been built by the Ministry of PUPR with nearly 600 suspension bridges, one of which is the Baleraja Suspension Bridge, in Indramayu Regency, West Java, and has been inaugurated.
"We leave all of this back to the local government to be maintained and utilized," said Basuki.
On the same occasion, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani said, BMN was handed over by the Ministry of PUPR on Wednesday, November 29, including to support super priority tourism destinations (DPSP) in Labuan Bajo, Lake Toba, Borobudur, and Mandalika.
He added that this includes connectivity infrastructure, water resources, as well as settlements and housing which is an effort by the government to create economic value in the context of developing tourism in Indonesia.
Other BMNs that are also very important for economic activities, such as renovated market buildings, then the Mangkunegaran Palace cultural heritage area which was then handed over to the Mangkunegaran Surakarta Foundation.
"This is support from the central government to continue to be able to improve and preserve Indonesian culture," said Sri Mulyani.
Furthermore, there are also BMN flats whose benefits are directly felt by the community, which are handed over to local governments, foundations, Islamic boarding schools, and universities.

Sri Mulyani appreciated the Ministry of PUPR for transparently conveying to the public the various development budgets that had been spent.
Until now, the government already has assets with a total valuation value of Rp6,660 trillion of state-owned goods, which are built with various funding. Starting from tax revenues, customs, non-tax state revenues (PNBP), even through the issuance of state securities or state debt securities.
