SYL's Testimony After Firli Bahuri Became A Suspect In Allegations Of Extortion
JAKARTA - Former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo, has finished giving his testimony in an additional examination conducted at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Wednesday, November 29.
In a series of examination processes that lasted for 8 hours, Syahrul Yasin Limpo emphasized that he had conveyed all his testimonies regarding what he experienced in the case to investigators.
"What I experienced and I know, I have conveyed it to investigators," said Syahrul after the examination.
However, it was not clearly conveyed about the examination material, including what the NasDem politician revealed to investigators.
Only said, Syahrul Yasin Limpo will be responsible for all his actions in consequence of the crime.
"I feel that what I do is of course my responsibility in a juridical manner as a citizen," he said.
In addition, Syahrul Yasin Limpo's lawyer, Djamaluddin Koedoeboen, said that investigators had asked dozens of questions. The client is said to have answered completely well.
Apart from the number of questions, it was said, the examination of Syahrul Yasin Limpo was only to complete the formal requirements of determining the suspect against the inactive KPK chairman Firli Bahuri.
"14 questions. Actually, this question is only because it is more about determining him (Firli Bahuri) as a suspect. So that maybe to fulfill the formal requirements, he (Syahrul Yasin Limpo) must be questioned again regarding this," said Djamaluddin.
In the case of alleged extortion and acceptance of gratuities, Firli Bahuri was named a suspect based on the results of the case title conducted on Wednesday, November 22.

Firli was charged with Article 12e, 12B or Article 11 of Law number 31 of 1999 concerning the eradication of corruption in conjunction with Article 65 of the Criminal Code. Thus, it is threatened with life imprisonment.
