President Jokowi Criticizes The Endance Of Trillions Of Rupiah In APBN And APBD Cash
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) criticized the trillions of rupiah deposited in the central and regional government treasury which was repeated in the 2023 fiscal year.
President Jokowi on the agenda of submitting a Digital Budget Implementation List (DIPA) and a List of Transfer Allocations to Regions (TKD) 2024 at the State Palace in Jakarta, ordered that the absorption of funds be optimized in the next three weeks.
"This means that in three weeks there will be trillions of money, we will repeat this every year," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, November 29.
In front of a number of officials from relevant ministries and institutions as well as representatives of local governments, Jokowi said that he had conveyed directions to accelerate budget absorption since nine years ago.
"Earlier I asked the Minister of Home Affairs for information, how much is the realization to date? Only 64 percent of the region. The center is also 74 percent. It's only been three weeks, still 64, and 74," he said.

He reminded that the 2024 budget absorption will begin as of January, so that the remaining budgets that are still allocated in the APBN and APBD for 2023 activities must be spent immediately.
"I will immediately execute it as soon as possible. So back and forth I say, January will immediately start the budget, it will be realized, realized as soon as possible," he said.
However, Jokowi realizes that changing the mindset of a policy maker is not an easy matter.
"Once again, execution as soon as possible, do shopping as soon as possible at the beginning of the year," he said.
