Kia India Prepares Sonet Facelift In December With Significant Change And Modern Touch

JAKARTA - Kia India will soon launch Sonet Facelift in December, and official prices will be announced at the launch event. The vehicle testing process, which has been going on for almost a year in India, has made it appear in public several times, without or with camouflage.

Although Kia is still keeping details secret, some sources from the leaked images indicate that Sonet facelift will undergo significant changes, including in its interior and exterior.

A striking change can be seen in the front bumper, where each variant will have a unique design. The front light also undergo changes with the drop-down element extending vertically to the bumper, while the fog light is also being revised.

The back of the Sonet facelift is supported by a new vertical light unit that uses LED technology, and a thicker rear bumper with black and silver dual-tone finishing. Sources also mentioned that the Sonet facelift will get a touch of unique style that makes it even more prominent in the Indian market.

Not only on the exterior, Kia also overhauled the interior of Sonet. The dashboard layout is changed, equipped with a new switchgear, while the updated instrument cluster will provide a fresher look, similar to Venue and Carens. The new nuances will also be applied to the seats across the variant.

State-of-the-art features such as the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) and a 360-degree camera will be part of the highest variant of the Sonet facelift. Meanwhile, regarding the engine, Kia has not provided official details, but is rumored to be available with three engine options, including a 1.0 liter turbo gasoline engine and a 1.5 liter diesel engine with a wide selection of power.
