Alumni And Lecturer IPB Launch Agromaritim White Book For Presidential Candidates 2024

JAKARTA - Alumni and lecturers from the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) have launched the "Agromarithm White Book" at the closing ceremony of the Grand Reunion at Sentul International Convention Center (SICC), Bogor Regency, West Java, on Sunday 26 November. This book will be submitted to presidential and vice presidential candidates (candidates-candidates) as a contribution to the thoughts of IPB alumni and lecturers regarding the agromaritm sector.

The chairman of the DPP IPB Alumni Association, Walneg S. Jas, explained that this book was compiled by 16 steering teams consisting of professors, experts, and practitioners of IPB alumni in various fields. There are also nine compiling teams that discuss various aspects of agro-martim. The big theme of this book is to make agro-martimist sovereignty the main foundation towards Indonesia Gold 2045.

"The White Book was compiled by 16 steering teams of professors, experts, including IPB alumni practitioners in their fields, plus 9 compiler teams, so 25 teams," said Walneg.

Walneg highlighted the urgency of agro-martimist development in achieving Indonesia Gold 2045, especially given the growing population and food needs that continue to increase, while natural resources are limited. The White Book discusses nine important portfolios, such as education, agriculture, marine, fisheries, environment, forestry, trade, industry, cooperatives, SMEs, rural development, and national planning.

"Everything we meet, what the problem is, what is the solution, how is the strategy to achieve it. We donate this to the nation and state, especially future leaders, hopefully it will be heard and used. Because if it is used, God willing, 2045 will reach Indonesia gold," he said.

The Chancellor of IPB, Prof. Arif Satria, added that this White Book will be given to presidential/candidate vice president candidates so that they can be a reference and guide in formulating policies. The main focus is to crystallize thoughts about agromarities as a center of attention and future development platforms.

Prof. Arif also highlighted the importance of not only interpreting downstreaming in the nickel sector. Although nickel has its role, downstreaming should cover various sectors, especially agglomariats, as part of the integral of national development.

This White Book is expected to make a real contribution to prospective leaders and policy makers to direct Indonesia's development towards a sustainable and competitive future.
