PSI Chairman Kaesang Gives Entrepreneurship Tips To Young Children In Sentani Papua
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep gave entrepreneurial advice to young people assisted by the Pondok Putri Kerahiman Orphanage in Sentani, Jayapura, Papua, Sunday, November 26.
In his meeting with children, Kaesang conveyed that entrepreneurship requires courage, interaction skills, initiatives, actions, and creativity.
However, the tips were not in a lecture, Kaesang actually conveyed it through games involving the children of the Pondok Kerahiman Orphanage.
"If you want to become an entrepreneur, you have to be smart in interacting with friends, you have to be able to build a network," said Kaesang, quoted by Antara.
The youngest son of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, asked the question, "Who wants Rp100 thousand (money)?"
Children simultaneously said, "I want!"
However, only those who dared to come forward and approached Kaesang who received the prize.
Kaesang then explained the moral message of the game. He wanted to show entrepreneurship starting from initiatives and actions.
"Everything can be done if you just say you want, but to get it, there must be action," said Kaesang.
He again asked the same question. This time many of the children dared to approach Kaesang.
However, Kaesang did not immediately give money. He gave other entrepreneurial tips that those who want to be entrepreneurs must dare to take the opportunity or take advantage of available opportunities.
"The opportunity did not come twice," said Kaesang Pangarep to the children assisted by the Pondok Putri Kerahiman Orphanage.
The tips were given by Kaesang to children in orphanages after the Director of the Pondok Putri Kerahiman Orphanage Foundation, Flori Koban, asked Kaesang to provide entrepreneurship training (entrepreneurship) to children.
"We read that Mas Kaesang has a number of businesses, then we want to try training children in entrepreneurship institutions, who knows if they can become entrepreneurs. They come from various regions, we train them to do business here, they can build networks in areas in Papua," said Flori Koban.
Not only that, another request, the Director of Foundation also asked Kaesang to help repair the GOR in the Pondok Putri Kerahiman Orphanage complex.
"This GOR is a little more collapsed, fortunately there are leaves that hold back. GOR is where we practice, study, pray. Mas Kaesang might be able to help find donors, maybe there are good people who can help us," said Flori.
Two requests from the orphanage were entrusted by Flori through a proposal submitted to Kaesang. The proposal was stored in a noken bag (a woven bag of Papuan wood skin) which was given by the Orphanage Pondok Kerahiman Putri to Kaesang.

"Noken for us Papuans must not be empty, there must be content, it's normal for mothers to fill in the produce to be brought to their families," Flori told Kaesang.
The Pondok Putri Kerahiman Orphanage became the first location that Kaesang visited during his first visit to Jayapura as PSI General Chair.
In the orphanage hall, Kaesang met with the children and chatted with them for approximately 1 hour.
In Jayapura, Kaesang continued to meet with the GKI Sinode management in Papua, then played football with former Persipura (Persipura All Stars) players. Finally, Kaesang is scheduled to chair a consolidation meeting with PSI cadres in Papua Province.
